About Opskill
What exactly is an AI Operating System?
+ ×
An AI Operating System (AIOS) is a custom-built internal platform that connects your data, automates your workflows, and surfaces the intelligence you need to run your business. It replaces the patchwork of disconnected SaaS tools with a single system: custom-coded, AI-powered, and owned entirely by you.
Who is this for?
+ ×
Growing businesses with real operational complexity: typically £500k to £5M in revenue, a team of two or more people, and a workflow that involves data moving between multiple tools. We build most for construction and trades, DTC brands, digital media companies, and interior design studios. If your biggest operational bottleneck is manual work or disconnected data, an AIOS is probably the right answer.
Is this just automation? How is it different?
+ ×
Automation tools like Zapier connect actions between existing apps. An AIOS replaces those apps with a single system built for your specific workflow. The difference is the level of customisation, the intelligence layer (AI agents, not just triggers), and the fact that you own the infrastructure rather than renting it.
Working together
How long does a build take?
+ ×
A Spark engagement (two to three core modules) typically takes three to four weeks from brief to deployment. A Core build (five to seven modules) runs five to six weeks. Timelines depend on complexity and how quickly you can provide access to your existing systems and data.
How involved do I need to be?
+ ×
We ask for a 45-minute discovery call, a sign-off meeting on the architecture, and one 30-minute check-in per week during the build. Most clients invest two to three hours per week on the engagement total. Beyond that, we handle the work.
What happens after handover?
+ ×
You get 30 days of post-launch support included. After that, you can operate the system entirely independently. If you want continued development, the monthly retainer keeps us available for feature additions, expansions, and strategy calls.
Technical questions
What technology do you build on?
+ ×
We build on production-grade, globally distributed infrastructure: serverless compute for logic, edge databases for storage, and static hosting for the frontend. The result is a stack with an extremely low ongoing cost. You do not pay per seat or per API call as your usage scales.
Do I own the code?
+ ×
Yes. Full source code is delivered as part of every engagement. You own it outright, can modify it freely, and are not dependent on Opskill to maintain it. This is by design. We do not believe in building in dependency.
Can you integrate with tools I already use?
+ ×
Usually, yes. Most modern tools expose an API that we can connect to. We audit your current stack during the discovery call and confirm what is integrable before scoping the build. We will be honest if something is not feasible.
What if something breaks?
+ ×
Every engagement includes 30 days of post-launch support at no additional charge. Bug fixes and minor adjustments within scope are covered. The optional retainer is available for clients who want ongoing cover beyond that.
Pricing and payment
What does it cost?
+ ×
Spark builds start at £4,500. Core builds start at £9,000. Command-tier (10 or more modules, enterprise) starts at £18,000. All are fixed-price. You see the number before we start; it does not change unless you add scope.
Is there a monthly fee?
+ ×
The build is a one-time fixed price. The underlying infrastructure costs next to nothing at typical business scale, often under £5 per month. There is no mandatory ongoing fee to Opskill. The optional retainer at £950 per month is available for clients who want continued development and support.
How do you take payment?
+ ×
50 percent on sign-off of the architecture. 50 percent on deployment. For larger engagements, we can discuss a three-stage payment schedule. Bank transfer to a UK business account.
